AKWABA - WELCOME
I am Djeneba Gbanet, 4th year student in the Bachelor of Interior Design at Algonquin College.

Kurukan Design draws its name from the Kurukan Fuga Charter, a timeless declaration of unity, sustainability, and human dignity from the 13th century in West Africa. In the same spirit, my designs are founded on the belief that spaces should honor individuality, nurture community, and foster well-being. Every design I create is guided by principles of balance, authenticity, and connection; building environments that don't just look beautiful, but feel profoundly meaningful.

To me, interior design is more than building spaces. It is about creating sustainable places where people feel connected to their environment, where safety and wellness are at the core, and where users' needs are the top priority.
